Moving on

When we make a mistake, or do something unpleasant that makes us feel bad, there are three ways of reacting.
First is to disregard any feelings or convictions, shutting off the voice of conscience. This is a total avoidance of the source of one's distress. There is no profit from this.
The second way is to let your emotions of guilt get the better of you, making you feel really bad more than you should. This is not healthy psychologically and emotionally.
Finally but most crucially is to feel the pain, but learn the lessons and then move on. This is the best approach yet.
Moving on does not necessarily represent leniency and neglect but wisdom with the errors one commits. It's only human to err. There's no point beating oneself down up till the point of extreme pain. Embrace the pain but beyond that, learn the lessons.

Friends, now and forever

Friends... What could we have done without them? But how much of these friends of ours do we keep? How many long term relationships can we manage? True friends are rare these days, so what defining features make true friends stand out? :
*They are there when no one is.
* They will pull you up in your down moments.
* They reciprocate the gestures of love you give to them.
* They build you up and help you achieve your goals.
* Last of all, they believe in you and your capacity to succeed.
So look around your list of friends. Is anyone not within the above descriptions? You could always sack them and have some value adding friends to your life.
I'll close with these wise words:
"Show me your friend, and I'll tell you who you are ".

Don't lose that grateful attitude

Gratitude slowly ebbs from our society.
There is this "I want more", Oliver Twist disposition that is a common parlance among the youth. Dare to be different each and every day. Make the decision to be appreciative of the blessings in your life as you might not know the value of a thing until you lose it. Keep thanking God, keep thanking the special people in your life.

You never stop growing

Growth is a life long process!
We cannot continue to live and not grow. It should be a lifestyle. But sadly, a lot of people don't get past beyond what they learn in school. Now by growth I mean the increase in knowledge we experience daily. Each day brings along with it a lot of lessons, from our lives and that of individuals among us. Embrace the lessons of life today and see your life improve.
